Beetle Queen Conquers Tokyo
This documentary which appears to have been released in 2009 but a US release in 2010 takes a look into the "beetle mania" in japan. The film looks to be beautifully shot, and takes consideration to all forms of culture the beetle has worked its way into in Japan, from pets to video games. I am very excited to see this film and hope it gets some what of a wide release, which im sure it wont. Hope you enjoy the trailer!

Greetings!
Hello! This is the first post and it is music related. Sharon Jones and The Dap-Kings provide an excellent example of music that still strongly pulls from music from the past. Though this is a fairly recent band, their first album Dap Dippin in 2002 and their newest album I Learned the Hard Way in 2010, the soul of their music is straight from the 1970s! I hope you enjoy the two songs I have posted and if so I encourage you to search out more.
